Event Details

The Southern Showcase is a 2-day cross-country meet directed by Huntsville High School and Jacksonville State University. This meet brings more than 150 teams and 5,000+ runners to John Hunt Park in Huntsville, AL. Following the college meet on Friday evening is the high school portion of the Southern Showcase which will take place on Saturday morning.

Schedule of events:

Thursday 9/11

3-5 PM – packet pickup / team practice / course preview

Friday 9/12

7:30 AM – College Men’s 8k

8:30 AM – College Women’s 5k

College awards are estimated to begin at 9:15 AM near the entrance of the park (men followed by women).

5:30 PM – Junior High Boys 2 mile

5:45 PM – Junior High Girls 2 mile

6:00 PM – Girls “open” division 5k

6:30 PM – Boys “open” division 5k

Friday awards will begin after we get the results from the first race and roll throughout the evening. Estimated around 6PM start and will follow the race schedule.

Saturday 9/13

8:00 AM – Blue Girls

8:20 AM – Championship Girls

8:40 AM – Blue Boys

9:00 AM – Championship Boys

9:20 AM – Crimson Girls

9:55 AM – Crimson Boys

10:15 AM – Gray Boys

10:35 AM – Gray Girls

Saturday awards will follow the race schedule and are estimated to begin around 9AM.
