Driven by the love of sports.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce that Huntsville, Alabama, will be the site of the AVCA Beach National Championships. The championships will feature a women’s pairs national championship and a men’s team national championship. The women’s tournament will consist of 64 pairs selected from college beach teams across the country. The men’s event will bring four schools to Huntsville to compete for the first men’s collegiate beach team national championship.
This event is the very first of its kind and we are heading to the center of the country! Huntsville (Rally Volleyball, City of Huntsville, Huntsville Sports Commission) hosted the first ever women’s pairs national championships in the fall of 2022. The pairs championship included the top pairs in the country and the top performers from many of the beach programs. The format was designed to include Division I, Division II, and eventually Division III schools. It features three days of competition for all 64 pairs and will be played alongside the men’s team championship. Schools have been awarded bids for the pairs event based on their performance from the previous spring season.
The AVCA established the Men’s Collegiate Beach Volleyball Alliance in spring of 2022. To support the excellence and investment in development, Huntsville (Rally Volleyball, City of Huntsville, Huntsville Sports Commission) will proudly host the first ever men’s team national championships this fall.
