
TEAMS (In each class):
• South-Areas: 1-4
• South Central-Areas: 5-8
• North Central-Areas: 9-12
• North – Areas: 13-16
FORMAT: The winner and runner-up from each of four areas will be placed in a pre-drawn, eight-team bracket for a double-elimination qualifying tournament in each class. Each area winner will be the “home team” in the first round. A coin flip will determine the “home team” in all other rounds.
No champion will be determined in the regional qualifying tournament. The team that remains undefeated in the winners’ bracket will qualify as the top seed for the state tournament. The team that wins the losers’ bracket will qualify as the second seed for the state tournament.
COACHES’ MEETING: Each coach must attend a pre-game meeting one hour prior to each team’s first game in the tournament, The meeting will be held at the Control Tower at each site.
ADMISSION: $8 per day
AWARDS: Trophies to champion and runner-up teams in each class; Awards to Most Valuable Player in each class
PRACTICE: No practice is allowed at a tournament site.

Officials: Umpires will be assigned by the State Office. A minimum of two umpires will be used for each game. Assignment of umpires during the tournament will be coordinated by the AHSAA Officials’ Coordinator.
